Fun bowling day with the Lodge of Unity at the ALBC
The annual Lodge of Unity No 98 Charity Bowls Day was held at Almeria Bowling Club on Saturday 6th September. The members of Almeria Bowing Club were fantastic hosts and a really big thank you to them for their help and support. After the game a BBQ was held in the shade of the terraces where Benjamin Jackson and his team laid out a fantastic spread…a big thank you to them also. Bus service to Turre market
We’re delighted to announced a new weekly bus to Turre market every Friday! Turre townhall has agreed to underwrite the cost of the bus, which departs the site at 10:30 am and then returns from Turre market at 2pm. The cost is €1 per return trip, payable as you board the bus. Single tickets are also available if you want to walk in and take the bus back, etc. The first service will be this Friday 2nd May. Airport shuttle from site to Almería airport as from this June!
We’re delighted to say that the site has signed an agreement with a new Airport shuttle bus service, starting this June 1st! Exclusive Airport Shuttles will be picking up and dropping off from the Campsite direct to Almeria Airport for just €18 per person each way, with discounts available for larger groups of people. The service starts 1st of June 2014, and once the service commences you’ll be able to book your airport transfer direct from this website or via the Campsite Reception. We launch our “Come to Mojacar” spring advertising campaign!
Camping Los Gallardos is always a firm destination favourite of campers visiting the south of Spain, and following on from last Springs very successful advertising campaign, we’ve launched a series of adverts in both Spain and the UK to attract more tourists to the Mojacar area!
A series of adverts encouraging campers and caravanners to “Come to Mojacar!” are being placed in UK magazines such as the Camping and Caravanning magazine (the official mag for the Camping & Caravanning Club of Great Britain) or Bowls International, the largest bowling magazine in the UK, as well as more adverts in the specialist press.
Alongside the UK promotions, we will be running further promotions across the south of Spain to encourage people in other regions to “come on up”!
Adverts are being placed across Andalucía in the English language press such as The Olive Press, or on Spectrum Radio, as well as a large advertising campaign using social media and Google adwords.
So pass the word and tell people to “Come to Mojacar!”

Vera and District Lions Club raise over 450€ at Miraflores
The Vera and District Lions Club held an immensely popular Christmas Fair at Miraflores this December 13th 2013. The fair attracted great interest from across the area, and stall holders presented their wares to several hundred people who made their ways to Miraflores at Camping Los Gallardos. Many of them stayed to enjoy the Fish and Chips afterwards! Team MIRAFLORES are running the Virgin London Marathon 2014!
Steve & Jing D’Albertanson have entered the 2014 Virgin London Marathon as TEAM MIRAFLORES to raise money for the “Calvert Trust”. The Calvert Trust operates outdoor activity centres for people of all ages, with all kinds of disabilities, situated in Exmoor, the Lake District and Kielder (Northumberland), the latter centre also having a respite care centre for over 18s. The Centres are all in or near National Parks, the activities are challenging, such as sailing, zipwire, horseriding, abseiling, or even paragliding in wheelchairs! Battery recycling facilities on site
Camping Los Gallardos is delighted to announce that they now have a battery recycling point onsite! Located at the entrance to the camp shop, the battery recycling point is a drop off box for your empty batteries. Our local supplier replaces the battery box on a regular basis, thus ensuring that these polluting empty batteries can be recycled without polluting the local environment. Yuletide Tree of Remembrance
During November a Yuletide Tree of Remembrance will be erected onsite. All are invited to dedicate a light and make a donation in memory of a loved one who is no longer with us. Each light represents a memory, and each name will be entered into a special book of memories. All donations will go towards medical needs and assisting those who need some special help this forthcoming year.
