Wildfire Update

Camping Los Gallardos Leisure is currently within the area affected by the recent wildfire in the Bédar region. We are pleased to confirm that the campsite itself has not been affected by the fire thanks to the outstanding work of the local fire brigades, Civil Protection, emergency services, and security forces.

On the afternoon of Friday 9 July, the resort and mobile home park was evacuated following an official emergency order issued as part of a wider precautionary closure covering the village of Bédar and the surrounding area. Our emergency evacuation procedures were implemented immediately and proved highly effective. With the assistance of the Guardia Civil and emergency services, the campsite was safely evacuated in a calm and orderly manner, and guests were provided with refuge in local emergency shelters where necessary.

We are pleased to confirm that no injuries or incidents occurred during the evacuation.

The safety of our guests, residents, and staff has always been our highest priority, and we are extremely proud of the professionalism shown by our team throughout the incident.

While the campsite has been protected, we recognise that several members of our staff have been personally affected by the wildfire. Those employees have been granted paid leave so they can support their families and attend to their homes and property during this difficult time.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the local fire brigades, Civil Protection, the National Police, Local Police, emergency services, the Junta de Andalucía, Los Gallardos Town Hall, and our Mayor Fran Reyes. Their professionalism, clear guidance, and tireless efforts have been instrumental in protecting our community and limiting the impact of this devastating wildfire.

Our thoughts remain with everyone whose homes, businesses, or livelihoods have been affected. We look forward to welcoming our guests back as soon as the authorities confirm that it is safe to reopen. Please check our facebook page facebook.com/MirafloresCLG for updates.
