Team MIRAFLORES are running the Virgin London Marathon 2014!

Steve & Jing D’Albertanson have entered the 2014 Virgin London Marathon as TEAM MIRAFLORES to raise money for the “Calvert Trust”. The Calvert Trust operates outdoor activity centres for people of all ages, with all kinds of disabilities, situated in Exmoor, the Lake District and Kielder (Northumberland), the latter centre also having a respite care centre for over 18s. The Centres are all in or near National Parks, the activities are challenging, such as sailing, zipwire, horseriding, abseiling, or even paragliding in wheelchairs! Battery recycling facilities on site

Camping Los Gallardos is delighted to announce that they now have a battery recycling point onsite! Located at the entrance to the camp shop, the battery recycling point is a drop off box for your empty batteries. Our local supplier replaces the battery box on a regular basis, thus ensuring that these polluting empty batteries can be recycled without polluting the local environment. “Casa de Oficio” in Los Gallardos visits Camping Los Gallardos

The “Casa de Oficio La Cimbra” educative workshop for Young Adults visited Camping Los Gallardos to learn more about tourism in the area, and how people from abroad come to the area to enjoy Almeria. Group Operations Director David Jackson showed them around the site, and explained how the complex was built from scratch into the largest mobile home park and campsite in the south of Spain over the last 23 years. Yuletide Tree of Remembrance

During November a Yuletide Tree of Remembrance will be erected onsite. All are invited to dedicate a light and make a donation in memory of a loved one who is no longer with us. Each light represents a memory, and each name will be entered into a special book of memories. All donations will go towards medical needs and assisting those who need some special help this forthcoming year. Four local business leaders from Bolton in the UK are about to take the plunge in a challenge that will test their endurance, skill, and sanity, to the extreme, by rowing across the Atlantic ocean – but before that, they popped by Camping Los Gallardos to enjoy a couple of days relaxing sun in Mojácar! A little bit of history about the site…

Los Gallardos Leisure is the hugely successful campsite and mobile home park   located in Almeria, southern Spain. Founded in 1991 by Anthony & Shirley Jackson, Camping Los Gallardos has   developed from a small campsite into a large, self contained leisure park with   many full time residents in their luxurious mobile homes.In 1988 Anthony & Shirley Jackson sold their businesses in England and,   with their two young sons, David & Benjamin,  flew to America for five   months.
